Hello, my name is John (Hans) Janmaat and you see me here in a rare moment of relaxation! I was born in Holland, but since 1968 I have been living in Adelaide, Australia.
Since 1964 I have been researching the "Janmaat Family Tree". Doing so from Australia has resulted in painfully slow progress. Although I am far from finished I am happy to share what I have learned so far.
I am also researching the "Thiele Family Tree". Since 1836 many Thiele families have entered South Australia and other parts of Australia. My main research concerns the Thiele Family of Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills. However, over the years I have also collected a lot of information about other Thiele families. I intend to publish this additional information as I find the time.
